Given that the wavelength of the excitation laser used for Raman measurement in this work was 633 nm, which is close to the ultraviolet-visible (UV-vis) absorption peak of CuPc (fig. S4D), the high EF value may be attributed to the SERS effect of CuPc (32). After the excitation laser wavelength was adjusted to either 532 or 780 nm, we observed relatively weak absorption for CuPc molecules.
